Tues. Oct. 10 to Fri. Oct. 13, 2017: Essay Creation

On Tuesday, you were given an additional modern hero reading to simply actively read, as well as the heroes essay assignment. This assignment is due on Friday, but I will give you until Tuesday to get it in (no more class time will be given).
I also provided you with a booklet containing the following information:
* how to write a critical analytical essay: Single source and multi-source
* Attention Getters
* Transitions

On Tuesday, I will explain how to approach a comprehension (multiple choice) exam and then you will write one on Wednesday.

Today, we did a timed journal on Chapters 10 & 11 of the novel, Lord of the Flies. I then discussed how people try to justify actions that they normally would believe to be wrong. Fri. Dec. 15, 2017: Hamlet Act IV

Today, we finished reading Act III of Hamlet and then read up to Act IV, scene 4. We will start on page 107 on Tuesday. On Monday, you will have the Act III quiz and another Shakespearean reading to read actively. Be sure to read over the commentary in your Hamlet book in order to be prepared for the test.
